Job description: My
position as Concierge onboard the Silversea ship is not to compare with the Concierge position in land based hotels. This
position onboard our ships is like a combination of Front Office Manager and Guest Relation Manager. This name has been changed
now because Concierge is not the appropriate name for this position anymore. I am responsible for embarkation, Suite configurations,
Shore arrangements, Rental cars, Restaurant/Hotel reservations, Flight bookings and changes, dealing with port agents etc.
I am the Head of Department for the Front Desk and responsible for a smooth run of the Reception desk. This job involves basically
everything to satisfy the guests needs.
One of my major responsibilities is the handling of complaints,
which needs a lot of sensibility. Experience is of course also an advantage in the hospitality industry.
